English Language
All interviews are conducted in English and fluency enables greater clarity of printed transcripts. If you seek another language please let us know; we might be able to redirect you!
Interest and Informed Consent
Interview candidates must be agreeable, open and willing to trust the process. We hope your interest and enthusiasm will only increase as interviews are underway! Signed consent is required.
Cognitive / Memory Health
Dialogue begins with the initial inquiry and through the information-gathering phase. During the interviews themselves - typically a dozen or more questions are asked. It is important that participants feel comfortable, able to recall and respond with ease. The process itself is highly stimulating in ways that potentially help protect cognitive health!
Kindness - Courtesy - Safety
Respectful, courteous, punctual behaviour is promised and expected in return. To assure protection, we ask that any potentially vulnerable clients/seniors please loop-in a caring family member -someone we can communicate with, initially and/or at agreed-upon intervals.
Online Access / Basic Tech Skills
Access to email and a computer is required for regular communication and to be able to attend scheduled online meetings via an e-mail link; Interview recording files are sent via a dropbox link. Email and Online Banking facilitate e-transfer payments.
